The Judge of Intentions

Scripture: “…discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart.” — Hebrews 4:12We can easily fool others, and sometimes we even fool ourselves. But we cannot fool the Word. As we read it, it reveals our true motives. It asks us, “Why are you angry?” or “Is this decision based on love or ego?” This discernment is a gift because it prevents us from going down the wrong path. It keeps our hearts pure and our motives aligned with God’s kingdom.

Prayer: Search me, O God, through Your Word. Reveal my true intentions and lead me in the way everlasting. Amen.
