Confidence to Move Forward Again

Scripture: “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous… for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” — Joshua 1:9

Thought for Today: Many people stop moving after a setback because they are afraid of failing again. But courage isn’t the absence of fear; it’s moving your feet while your heart is still pounding! God didn’t suggest you be courageous; He commanded it. Why? Because He knows the secret: He is with you! You aren’t moving forward alone. Your “Forward” is guaranteed because the One who holds the future is walking in your shoes with you. It’s time to take the next step!

Work the Word
The “First Step” Action: What is one thing you’ve been “stalling” on because of fear? Do the first 5 minutes of that task today. Don’t think about the whole project—just the first step. As you do, say: “I am moving forward because my God is with me!”

Prayer: Lord, I break the spirit of stagnation over my life. I refuse to be paralyzed by the past. I receive Your courage and I take my next step forward today. I’m moving with You! Amen.

Key Truth to Remember: You don’t need to see the whole staircase to take the first step.
