The Blessing of Adoption
Scripture: “Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will.” — Ephesians 1:5
In the Roman world, an adopted child was legally granted the exact same rights, status, and inheritance as a biological child. More importantly, any debts the child had before adoption were legally canceled and wiped away. This is what belongs to you. You aren’t a guest in God’s house or a servant in the field; you have been legally adopted. You have the right to use the Father’s Name, access His resources, and rest in His protection. You didn’t earn this; it was His “good pleasure” to bring you in. Prayer: Father, I thank You that I am Your child. I am not an orphan and I am not alone. I receive the blessing of adoption today. I thank You that my old debts are canceled and I now have a legal right to all that belongs to You. I walk with my head held high, knowing I am part of the family of God. Amen.
Key Truth: Adoption is God’s legal guarantee that you always belong.
