Rising Above Disappointment

Scripture: “The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit.” — Psalm 34:18

Thought for Today: Disappointment is a “weight” that tries to pull your gaze downward to the dirt of what didn’t happen. It whispers that God forgot you or that your best days are behind you. But the Scripture says God is actually closer to you in the “crushed” moments than at any other time. Rising above doesn’t mean ignoring the pain; it means realizing that a “No” from the world is often a “Hidden Yes” from God for something better. Don’t let a detour convince you that the destination is gone!

Work the Word
The “Look Up” Pivot: Today, every time you think about that “missed” opportunity or disappointment, physically look up at the sky. Say: “Lord, I don’t see the whole picture, but I know You are near. I trust Your ‘Better’ is coming!”

Prayer: Lord, heal the sting of this disappointment. I refuse to let my heart grow cold or bitter. I lift my eyes to You, knowing that You are working all things together for my good. I’m rising up! Amen.

Key Truth to Remember: A setback is just a setup for a supernatural comeback.
