When God Refreshes Your Spirit
Scripture: “He restores my soul; He leads me in the paths of righteousness for His name’s sake.” — Psalm 23:3
Thought for Today: Spiritual refreshing is like a “Cool Rain” on a scorched heart. Sometimes our spirits get “brittle” from the heat of life’s battles. We get “dry” on the inside. But God is the Source of the Living Water! Refreshing doesn’t come from a vacation; it comes from a Visitation. When God refreshes you, He isn’t just giving you a break; He is making you “supple” and “new” again so you can handle the new season He is bringing you into.
Work the Word
The “Soak” Session: Put on 10 minutes of instrumental worship or “soaking” music. Don’t pray for your “needs”; just tell God how much you love Him. Let the atmosphere of His presence “soak” into your spirit like rain on dry ground.
Prayer: Holy Spirit, I am dry and thirsty. Fall fresh on me today. Refresh my spirit, soften my heart, and make me new from the inside out. I receive Your living water. Amen.
Key Truth to Remember: A refreshed spirit is a creative, powerful spirit.
