Mary was a virgin an remained a virgin till after the birth of Jesus. When Jesus was baptized the Spirit of God declared, \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=Matthew%203%3A17&amp;version=KJV\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"This is my beloved Son in whom I am well-pleased (opens in a new tab)\">This is my beloved Son in whom I am well-pleased<\/a>\u201d. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Jesus is still pleasing the Father today by making <a href=\"https:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=Hebrews%207%3A25&amp;version=KJV\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"intercession  (opens in a new tab)\">intercession <\/a>for us. He is the mediator between God and man. Just like he&#8217;s making intercession for us, he wants us to make intercession for others using his name.
