Reset to be Wet

Sometimes in life we become spiritual dry. We don’t have that same zeal or

desire to pursue the things of God. It isn’t because we lack love for God, but it’s more of a drainage – a spiritual leak-within our soul. You’re tired of being dry or maybe you left your first love. Regardless of your reason, this will RESET your Spiritual life and cause you to be WET and on Fire AGAIN!

RESET!

When a computer is running slow or it stops functionally properly, what do you do? RESET! YOU SHUT IT DOWN SO IT CAN RESTART TO RESET!

RESET TO BE WET!

1. FAST

A. Announce the fast to yourself! Declare your purpose. The flesh can’t talk you out of it because you are announcing it to the flesh! Keep the announcement in your mouth everyday of the fast.

B. What are you announcing? Announce how, how long, and the purpose to YOURSELF! Announce how you will fast. Will you fast on water only, liquids, fruit, veggies or nothing? I can’t tell you which to do, but which every way you choose, stick with it. Some people like to fast certain times of the day or give up certain foods for a specified time. Pray and the Holy Spirit will guide you on the type of fast you need.

C. Also, announce how long. If you plan to go 1 or 3 days, announce it. If you decide you’re going 5 days, announce it. If you’re going 7 days announce it. How many days you decide announce because if you don’t, your flesh will announce to you while you’re fasting to stop, it can’t take no more!

D. The Purpose. After you announce how and how long, you need to announce your purpose. Why are you fasting? You are fasting to RESET! Returning to your FIRST love. But if you’re already on fire, you can fast to destroy yokes in other people’s lives. Regardless of your purpose, announce it! If you don’t announce it, you will lose focus and heart during the fast. Your purpose helps to guide your prayers during the fast. Of course, you can pray for whatever is in your heart but if you announce your purpose, it will keep you focus and you’ll see the results in that area you are desiring!

2. KNOW THE WILL

Be prepared. Look up the scriptures centered around your fast purpose. Write them down. Use a printer and print them out. Bring them with you when you go to meet God. Be prepared to remind God of what he said. It’s not that he doesn’t know or can’t remember, it’s because he told us to Come and reason with him (Isaiah 1:18 & ) and plead your (Isaiah 43:26). It’s His way. One reason is so we can come before him in Faith. Faith pleases Him. When you present the scriptures to Him in Faith, it pleases Him and He releases to you, your request!

3. PRAY

On this fast, PRAY, and shut everything down. I’m not talking about stop working or tending to family. But shut down playing games on your phone and watching your favorite moves. Give that time to prayer and fellowship with God. This is how you’re going to receive a reset! God wants your undivided attention! He wants you to FOCUS on HIM!
