The Word of God is a lamp

The word of God is a lamp unto our feet and a light unto our path. This light guides us and is seen by others. The lamp gives us a path so that we can be guided spiritually. Do you remember the ten virgins found in Matthew chapter 25? They were waiting on the bridegroom and 5 of them had no light and had to leave to go get oil and when they returned it was too late. We don’t want to be without any light The oil can represent the word of God which is inside the lamp which makes it burn. Think about it; When you (the lamp) are without oil your light will not shine.
