Strength Renewed by Waiting on the Lord

Scripture: “But they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles.” — Isaiah 40:31

Thought for Today: In our fast-paced world, “waiting” feels like losing time, but in God’s Kingdom, waiting is a

Divine Exchange. The Hebrew word for “wait” actually means to “intertwine.” Think of a rope; the more strands you weave together, the stronger it becomes. When you wait on God, you are weaving your weakness into His infinite power. You aren’t just sitting still; you are being reinforced! This is how you “mount up.” You don’t flap harder; you catch the wind of the Spirit and let Him lift you.

Work the Word:
The 5-Minute Exchange: Before you start your work or check your phone today, set a timer for five minutes. Sit in total silence. Don’t ask for things—just focus on God’s presence. Say: “Lord, I’m weaving my life into Yours. Give me Your strength for my weakness.”

Prayer:
Father, I stop my rushing and I wait on You. Trade my small strength for Your great power. Help me to stop striving and start soaring by the power of Your Spirit today. Amen.

Key Truth to Remember: Waiting on God isn’t “dead time”; it’s “power-up” time.
